Zhvanets is located near Kamenetz-Podolsk. It is an old city founded in 1431. The village Zhvanets albeit small, but has a very interesting history. Here, in the early 17th century, the castle was built. Valentiy Kalinowski lived there, who was the elder of Kamenetz-Podolsk.\ Nowadays, the greatness Zhvanets castle is almost nothing like, because there remains only a small part of one wall. This castle served as a great hiding place for the local rulers. It consisted of six towers, and the lock on the perimeter was surrounded by a deep moat. The castle was rebuilt several times, architecture towers and also the walls of the courtyard were changed. During Hotinsky War the castle was damaged, but it was rebuilt by Stanislav Lyantskoronsky, who was the husband of sister Valentia Kalinowski, who, as already mentioned, was the founder of the castle. When the castle was completely destroyed by Jan III Sobieski in 1684, Zhvanets lost its value as a strategic asset and, therefore, the life here has stopped. Reviews
Went with my wife to celebrate Valentine’s Day. Was looking for a quiet family place. The hotel we generally liked. The weather was warm, so happy that I chose a hotel not in the city centre and on the banks of the river. Another of the advantages of this hotel – the kitchen. Delicious and not expensive (Breakfast-20 UAH, a good dinner can be 40-50 UAH). Afternoon, the room was a bit chilly, but immediately added heat. Think. what’s going to come back here in the summer for 5-7 days. Good place to stay.
Left today from this wonderful hotel. Loved everything – the location, the ancient historical tower in the yard, views, Lunches and dinners directly above a living river, of course, branded barbecue and I want to emphasize is incredibly pleasant and helpful staff. Loved it. Now, for me, other hotels in Kamyanets ‘ does not exist. Kept their room – I’ll stay here. Thank you very much for Your work.
Resting on 19 January, two families. Woke up this morning to the ringing of Church bells, a lot of them in the city. It added a sense of grandeur of the feast of the Epiphany. On site there were a lot of people and, as we understand, not only vacationers. Whole families came, with children. Swam in the outdoor pool on site. After bathing, the master was treated to hot mulled wine and “moonshine”. My wife and I bathed for the first time. And very grateful to the owner for the unforgettable experience, a delicious barbecue and, in General, good Domashny the kitchen.
It is rather an appreciation than a review about the hotel. So a good impression was left after the rest, sure that I want to recommend this hotel to other travellers. Fabulous place, no city noise, the proximity of water, historical monuments on the territory and near – all this leaves an unforgettable impression. The kitchen is home, “good”, wholesome. Unusual colorful dishes: bograch, homemade sausages, excellent barbecue.
Зупинились на одну ніч. Казкове місце- привітний персонал, смачна кухня , ціни доступні. Всім рекомендую !!! Особливо сподобались хатки над річкою, так не звично:)
